Gbenga Daniel wins polling unit for APC Dapo Abiodun

The Director General of the Atiku Campaign Organisation, South, Gbenga Daniel, has delivered his polling unit to the Ogun State All Progressives Congress’ governorship candidate, Dapo Abiodun.
At the end of voting at the unit at Isote, Sagamu, APC polled 150 votes, while the Allied Peoples Movement polled 96 votes.
The African Democratic Congress had 25 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party scored 13 votes.
Daniel, a former governor of Ogun State, adopted Abiodun at the last minute, against the PDP’s candidate, Buruji Kashamu.

Peace Peace Airlines CEO,Chief (Barrister) Allen Onyema Set for Dad’s Funeral

Chief (Barrister) Allen Onyema, the Chairman/ CEO of Peace Airlines has announced the death of his father, Chief Michael Onyema( Ichie Onyebuchi).
Speaking of the loss, Chief Onyeama said “Transition from immortality to mortality awaits every being. My father’s turn has come, thus giving filip to John Dryden’s famous lines: “All human things are subject to decay and when death summons, monarchs must obey”.Ichie Onyebuchi was a great man who has answered a great call from the greatest Man, the Almighty God.We loved him but God loves him more hence he recalled him home.”
“Though the entire Onyema family of Mbosi in Ihiala local government area of Anambra are grief-stricken, we are  nontheless consoled by the impactful, salutary and eventful our father lived.”
Death has in no way obliterated Chief Michael Onyema’s bold prints on the sands of time for his ideas and values live on, for according to Sri Chinmony, ‘death is not the end…death is the road,life is the traveller.The soul is the guide”, He said.
The public, he disclosed, will be kept abreast of the funeral rites.

Why Amosun Rejected My Resignation – Ojuko

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has rejected the resignation of appointment by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Jide Ojuko, saying the Commissioner remain part of his cabinet till the end of his administration.

Ojuko, who made the disclosure at a press briefing in his office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, he said, the issues surrounding his earlier resignation were already being looked into, adding that contents of the letter were construed and misinterpreted.

“That letter was a love letter between two lovers. I love my Governor and my Governor loves me. In view of this development, I am now back at my desk and wish to place on record that the issues surrounding my earlier resignation are being looked into”, Ojuko stated.

He stated further that issues of Ota/Awori traditional council was quite different to what prompted him resigned earlier, noting that his resignation has nothing to do with that of traditional council.

While fielding questions from Journalists, he said those Ota/Awori traditional council were reacting to some anomalies being meted out to them by Egbas by installing an Egba man as their one of their monarch or Baale in their domain.

“You see, it is imperative to react accordingly that’s what the Ota/Awori traditional council did, but my own case is quite different because it has to do with politics, now that you can see that it was two different things entirely”‎, Ojuko said

He appreciated the governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun for his quick intervention and Ota/Awori traditional council for their understanding, praying for peaceful resolution of the matter.
