Seeing him for the first time, he stands tall at 6’8, with a fixed smile on his face. Elegant, humble, good-looking, a man who has braved the odds to be where he is. A classic model of the Nigerian dream- ‘grass to grace’- which befittingly happens to be a title of one of his many albums.
Born 18 September 1975, he has practically paid his dues in the Nigerian music industry with many international and national awards. All this came at a cost though. He courts controversies. Just as he blows away minds with his lyrics and songs, so also he sweeps ladies off their feet.
Innocent Ujah Idibia with stage name (2Baba) is one of the most bankable artistes in Africa. 2Face has received one MTV Europe Music Award, one World Music Award, five Headies Awards (Hip-hop award), fourChannel O Music Video Awardsand one BET award for his musical work, four MTV Africa Music Awards, one MOBO award, one KORA award, and numerous additional nominations.
Despite having baby mama issues which earned him the nickname ‘Father Abraham’, he got married to his long time lover, Annie Idibia nee Macaulay in a lavish wedding ceremony well attended by family, friends and many Nigerian celebrities in Dubai on the 23rd of March, 2013.
Being a man with a large heart, 2Face has established an NGO called 2Face Idibia Reach-Out Foundation which motto is service to humanity.
