Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong has charged Muslims Ummah to preach and practice the virtue of love to humanity as taught by Prophet Mohammed.
Making the remarks in his Eid el-Kabir message signed by Mr Emmanuel Nanle, Director of Press and Public Affairs last Wednesday in Jos,the governor said that true religious practice must show love and also sacrifice to make a difference into the lives of fellow humans and urged Muslim faithfuls to extend a hand of fellowship to all during the period.
The governor called on religious leaders to preach the message of peace and love to their adherents and promote mutual co-existence in the society, reiterating his administration’s determination through its ‘5-Policy Thrust’ to provide purposeful leadership to the people and thereby ameliorate the sufferings of the citizenry. Wishing Muslims in the state a peaceful and rewarding Eid el-Kabir, he assured citizens that the security agencies have been charged to ensure that the celebration was peaceful.
